Care and storage notes for Starpery silicone models
Prepare a clear receiving area, check fabric contact and keep the manufacturer’s care instructions with the order.
Prepare the receiving surface
Before opening the package, arrange a clean surface that can support the model and leave room for the packing materials. Remove sharp hardware and fasteners from the working area. Have the care sheet and delivery information nearby so you can compare the received configuration with the written quote and follow the support instructions for that build.
Check fabric compatibility
Starpery’s FAQ discusses transferring dye from clothing and recommends cleaning garments before putting them on the model. Check the maker’s guidance for your paint finish and material. Use the approved fabric and washing routine, let items dry fully, and record any fabric that transfers color. Garment seams and hardware also deserve attention when the model will stay in contact with the fabric.
Store with the intended support
Confirm the preferred resting position and any support requirements for the feet, joints and neck. Use the maker’s instructions for the exact body and keep enough clearance to move it without rubbing along edges. If a different storage arrangement is needed, get confirmation that the fixture and surface can support the assembled weight.
Document a change promptly
If you notice a mark or an area of unusual resistance, capture a neutral-light photograph and note the materials that were in contact with it. Share the product reference, date and approved care steps you used. Request the supplier’s instructions before attempting a treatment, and keep the response alongside your order record.
